As much as I like the idea of large, open spaces, these columns add a little bit more privacy to what’s happening between the kitchen/dining area and the living room. I love how the blue velvet sofa stands out on the neutral tones of the floor and the rug. The green armchair and the lamp make it a perfect reading spot. A great example of a bold and powerful approach on decorating the house.
